Effective 16 August 2024, CIRCA will transition from being known as the Cultural & Indigenous Research Centre Australia to being registered as the Culturally Inclusive Research Centre Australia.
This is a change to our trading name only, so there’s no change to our company structure, ownership, or ABN. CIRCA remains the research arm of Cultural Perspectives Pty Ltd.
We’ve made this change to highlight our capacity for inclusive research. After all we’ve learned over the last 24 years about how to do inclusive research with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, we’re ready to expand our scope to ensure other cultural and self-identifying groups are also appropriately included in research.
From this point forward, our focus is on doing market research and program evaluation with many communities that have not traditionally or consistently been included in Australian research, like people from CALD backgrounds, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, and young people.
