What’s your favourite thing about working at CIRCA?
It is the vibrant collaborative atmosphere that sets us apart. It’s more than just teamwork; it’s a genuine community where every team member actively supports and engages with one another. Whether someone has a question, a bold idea, or wants to brainstorm, we know that the other team members will always be happy to discuss and help out one another.
Personally, this collaborative effort makes me feel supported and valued. It’s not just about completing tasks; it’s about the commitment to quality and the shared passion for what we do. Knowing that I can lean on my teammates for insights, or a friendly discussion creates a dynamic and inspiring environment. At CIRCA, collaboration isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a lived experience that fuels our shared passion and success.
What drew you to working in this space originally?
I strongly believe in the fundamental right of every individual to a fair and equitable standard of living, regardless of factors such as gender, age, race, language, religion, or sexual orientation. I have far too often seen research and policy aimed at Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, and Culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities that were not tailored to their unique needs and run the risk of causing unintended harms. I did not want to be part of this problem or be a bystander – I want to do my part to improve the world we live in, for everyone. I feel very lucky that I have found CIRCA who leads impactful work that aligns with my values.
