Ishan is a mixed methods researcher with substantial experience in conducting primary and secondary research.

With a Master of Development Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, Ishan brings a unique blend of quantitative and qualitative research skills to CIRCA. Throughout his academic journey, Ishan has conducted thorough research into critical social and health policy-related topics. His past research endeavours have focused on areas such as menstrual and sexual health awareness, human rights, reducing maternal mortality, and Australian public policy and politics. Notably, during his Bachelor’s degree, Ishan conducted primary quantitative research, employing various statistical analysis tools to analyse the opinions of first-time voters in state elections in Goa, India.

Outside of work, Ishan enjoys phone photography, reading suspense thriller novels, and being in nature. Ishan can speak, read, and write fluently in multiple languages, including Marathi, Hindi, and Konkani, and can read basic Sanskrit.
