At the end of August, several CIRCA team members attended the Australian Evaluation Society Conference in Adelaide. This year’s conference theme of “weaving evaluation into the whole” was an excellent metaphor for considering ways to insert evaluation at all levels of program and policy cycles, thinking about whose values are included and fostering innovation and creativity in approaches. CIRCA’s Director of Research and Evaluation, Lena Etuk, and Senior Research Consultants, Rochelle Braaf and Thushara Dibley, attended and took the opportunity to reconnect and forge new connections with evaluators from across Australia and beyond. We gathered many thought-provoking ideas about theory and practice and look forward to adapting and implementing these in our work over the coming months and years.
