CIRCA had a whirlwind trip to Canberra to attend The Research Society’s Government and Social Research Conference. Lena Etuk, Carla Soto, and Isabella Saunders had the pleasure of hearing some incredible speakers talk about strategies for research to impact public policy, and ethical considerations for government research. Hearing Dr Katherine Giunta from the eSafety Commissioner speak about ways to respect the autonomy of young people participating in research was especially thought-provoking. It was great catching up with everyone, and we’re excited to apply some of these learnings back in the office!
